Who runs our city? What kind of Milwaukee do we want? Join us at America’s Black Holocaust Museum with the Wisconsin Black Historical Society/Museum to explore these questions through Dr. James Cameron’s (ABHM’s founder) writings to Congress, his pamphlets, and other examples of print as protest. We’re inviting every young person in Milwaukee to write their “Letter to America.” Through essays, videos, art, and more, Gen Z is reflecting on the past, responding to the present, and imagining what our next chapter could look like. These letters are a stepping stone towards creating real change in your community. Additionally, check your voter registration status with help from a local election inspector so that you’re ready for this upcoming election season.
