As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary in 2026, The Museum of Work & Culture, a Rhode Island Historical Society museum, invites the community to participate in a Wish Wall. Visitors can add a personal wish for the nation, state, or city from small acts of kindness to big visions for change to a frame loom, weaving their wishes into a colorful community tapestry. “Our wall, Woven Wishes, gives everyone a voice in imagining what comes next,” said Rachael Guadagni, Education and Programs Manager. “It’s a simple act of hope and a collective snapshot of what we value most as a nation, a state, and a city.” Each wish becomes part of a collective tapestry together our wishes will help guide us as we move forward towards the next 250 years of America.
