If you love Pride and Prejudice or Bridgerton, you might know a thing or two about the Regency era but what was happening across the pond in America? Join us for a Civic Season after-hours ball at The People’s House: A White House Experience! Inspired by the dramatic burning of the White House by British troops in 1814, this evening transports you back in time to Federal America. Your ticket includes two drink tickets, tea cakes and desserts, history pop-ups about the US-UK relationship, and period-inspired activations like live traditional silhouettes from Silhouettes by Hand and Regency fan decorating. Whether you’re here for the history, the vibes, or just an excuse to dress like you’re in a period drama, this event is for you. Regency/Federal Era-inspired fits are highly encouraged! This event is brought to you in celebration of Civic Season, which takes place between Juneteenth and July 4, uniting our oldest federal holiday with our newest. This nationwide initiative, organized by Made By Us, connects Gen Z to history and civic engagement.
