The York County History Center believes that we can not tell our story without your story. This exhibit is the first in what we hope to become a series of exhibits that highlights those who have been historically excluded. Former Community Historian, Ophelia Chambliss worked within the Black community to collect stories through the Share Your Story project. Her work provided a fuller narrative of our community's rich and diverse history in the format of timeline. We hope you enjoy!
