A lighthouse stands tall with an american flag.

This summer, young people take the mic to shape what comes next.

Across the country, young people are leading. Co-designed by the Civic Season Design Fellows and Youth250 Bureau, National Youth Day is a moment during Civic Season to celebrate and uplift youth leadership, spark conversation, and help shape what comes next.

Letters to America

The next generation is taking the mic.

250 years ago, a bold letter from the next generation changed world history.

Today, for America's 250th anniversary, we're inviting young people to put their own declaration forward by creating Letters to America.

Through written essays, short videos, speeches, and art pieces, young people put the American story in their own words. Select submissions will be shared by media partners, museums, and civic organizations for National Youth Day on June 27, 2026.
