It’s the 250th anniversary of the Fourth of July! Come celebrate community, reflect on America’s past, and envision what’s next - all at the home of a signer of the Declaration of Independence and New Jersey’s first Governor’s mansion. Morven’s annual Fourth of July Festival is free and open to the public. Join us for artmaking and games with community partners; the return of the popular "Civic Season Education Station;" garden tours; open archives with the Historical Society of Princeton; live music from The Vintage Vibe Tribe; a chance to sign the Declaration of Independence; food and beverages; and more! The museum will be open free of charge during the festival, featuring two new special exhibitions: "Five Independent Souls: The Signers from New Jersey" (opening May 2026), and "Northern Family, Southern Ties" (opened November 2025); as well as Morven’s permanent exhibition "Historic Morven: A Window Into America’s Past."
