This program examines how bias shapes health outcomes, access to care, and the overall experiences of individuals within the healthcare system. Bias in Health: Race, Access & Care invites participants to explore the historical and present-day realities that have contributed to disparities in treatment, trust, and health equity. Through guided discussion and reflective engagement, audiences will consider how race, socioeconomic status, and systemic structures influence who receives care, how care is delivered, and the quality of that care. The program also creates space to examine implicit bias within medical settings and the broader impact it has on communities. As part of The Bias Inside Us, this session encourages participants to think critically about health equity and to imagine more just and inclusive approaches to care, grounded in awareness, accountability, and community-centered solutions.
